Abstract

Application of the steric model of molecular configurations to alkyl-transition metal compounds leads to a rationalisation of the large interbond angles at α carbon atoms, and to intramolecular non-bonded atomic radii for the elements Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, and Pt.
