Abstract

Bolted connection is an important connection form between composite laminate plate and metal frame structure. The type and location of the connection bolts are of great influence on the structural strength, stiffness and structural vibro-acoustic properties. To achieve the goal of reduction vibration and noise, the bolted connection form optimization of the panel structure is investigated. Bolts stiffness parameter (bolt diameter, etc) and the distribution location are defined as design variables, the bolted connection form optimization function which aim to minimize of acoustic radiation power is established. The composite-to-aluminium panel structure under harmonic excitation for example, the numerical analysis of bolted connection form optimization is implemented. The results show that the acoustic radiation power level and total level of the panel structure are significantly decreased. In the end, the numerical analysis results are verified by model experiment, which validated the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. The results in present work provides more understanding the design and application of the composite-to-aluminium panel structure with bolted connection.
