Abstract

The possibility of using bolometer detection for quadrupole resonance is investigated. Preliminary results in the 30 Mc region indicate that such a detection method can be made to operate easily and at a sensitivity comparable to conventional regenerative detectors. Scaling to other frequencies should be possible without the difficulties encountered in regenerative and super-regenerative detectors.
