The hospital treatment of patients with malignant neoplasms in Belgrade in 2009. year was investigated. It was used a database of individual health statistical report of hospitalization (2009th year), which is kept in the Institute for Public Health in Belgrade. Also, we used health statistics on the number of registered malignant neoplasms of the disease (2008th years) in health care facilities for primary health care in Belgrade. Analysis was based on methods of descriptive statistics. A total of 42.133 patients were treated in 20 stationary medical institutions in Belgrade. The largest number of patients was in the age group of 55-64 years (30%). The most common form of malignant neoplasm is breast cancer (C50), bronchi and lungs (C33 and C34), prostate (C61), colon (C18) and rectum (C19 and C20). Women often get sick from breast cancer in the age group of 20-54 years (about 41%), and men of malignant neoplasm of the prostate in the age group of 65-74 years (about 42%). Most patients were treated at the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia (20%), and then at the Clinical Hospital Centre 'Bežnijska kosa' (10%). Feel free to say that it is a terrifying epidemic of this disease.
