Abstract
AbstractThe body parts of the machines are the basic elements. Various parts and assembly units are installed on them, the accuracy of the relative position of which must be ensured both in statics and during the operation of the machine under load. In accordance with this, the body parts must have the required accuracy, the necessary rigidity, and vibration resistance, which ensures the correct operation of the mechanisms and the absence of vibration. In this chapter, the definition of a group of parts that can be conditionally assigned to the group of body parts is given. Depending on the purpose, the body parts are divided into three groups, of which the most capacious is the group of body parts of machine components. The main technological requirements for cast body parts are outlined.
