Abstract
ABSTRACT A novel fluorescent BODIPY-modified silica-coated magnetite nanoparticles/Copper (II) complex was developed for cyanide detection in aqueous ethanol solution. The sensing abilities of the prepared fluorescent copper (II) complex towards cyanide anions was examined by fluorescence spectroscopy, and displays high selectivity and sensitivity for cyanide among the all tested anions in H2O/EtOH (v/v = 2:8) at the neutral pH range and with LOD of 0.57 μM.
