Abstract
We report a palladium(II) complex with two strong donor ligands, namely a cyclometalated benzoquinoline and a N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand, which shows phosphorescent emission at low temperatures. The prototype palladium(II) complex shows excellent emissive properties at low temperatures (77K) with an almost quantitative quantum yield and an emission wavelength of 470 nm.
