BLS data show nonprofit sector saw strong job growth during Great Recession

Abstract

New data published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that the nation's charitable sector grew substantially during the recent recession, helping to counteract the massive private‐sector job losses that marked the first few years of the Obama presidency.
