Abstract

Blood group gene frequencies which are inherited according to Mendelian principles were correlated with performance on a broad base general-purpose mental ability test. Six blood groups were significantly related to the mental test scores of 54 Caucasians and of 42 Negroes. The six-variable R2s are impressive. Predictions can be made concerning the level of mental test performance from the blood group gene frequencies.
