Abstract

ObjectiveThis study aimed to investigate relationship between blood production factors and transfusion sustainability. MethodsA self-administered questionnaire was employed to gather data from randomly selected participants in blood banks. Partial least squares structural equation modeling tool was used in the analysis. ResultsThe findings indicated that blood production factors have a considerable and positive influence on the transfusion sustainability of blood banks in Uganda. ConclusionThe enhancement of transfusion sustainability is supported by blood production factors. Consequently, it is advisable to prioritize blood production to ensure adequacy and timely supply of blood products.
