Abstract
Objective To investigate the practical effects of intensive insulin therapy in intensive care patients. Methods A retrospective study was performed, 51 intensive care patients received intensive insulin therapy as observation group;and 51 intensive care patients received routine insulin therapy as control group. nosocomial infection rate, hypoglycemia rate and mortality were compared between the two groups. Results Intensive insulin therapy reduces the incidence of nosocomial infection and hospital mortality (P < 0. 05).
