Abstract
Background and Aims: Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a common atherosclerosis manifestation affecting over 20% of Europeans above 55 years old. Even though endovascular treatment is the common and frequently used treatment method, non-invasive treatment such as physical training remains the first option treatment for non-critical limb ischemia patients.[PM1] As in the last decade, the innovative blood flow restricted training (BFRT) was gaining popularity, our team decided to examine its influence on the endothelium for future use in PAD patients.
