Abstract

The testis of the rat has been used as an experimental model for measuring blood flow and blood volume changes in tissue depopulated by X-rays. The results show that for single doses of X-ray up to 600 rads the blood flow per unit weight remains constant during the depopulation phase, while the blood volume per unit weight of tissue is increased.
