Abstract

Block chain technology has emerged as a promising solution for enhancing transparency and efficiency in various industries, including agriculture and food supply chains. This article examines the influence of block chain technology on agriculture, explores ongoing projects and initiatives, and assesses its potential implications, obstacles, and promises. Despite its potential to revolutionize the food supply chain by enabling transparent transactions among dispersed and untrustworthy parties without intermediaries like banks, several challenges hinder its widespread adoption. These challenges encompass technological limitations, educational gaps, and regulatory hurdles. This study provides insights into the current state of blockchain adoption in agriculture and offers critical perspectives on project maturity.
