Abstract

For the problem of classification for jamming signal in the normal communication channel, a modulation identification method based on blind source separation is proposed. A channel estimation is obtained with an Independent Component Analysis (ICA) in the case of multiple-antennas. Then the jamming signal is separated from the normal communication signal. The fourth-order cumulant is extracted from the jamming signal and used for modulation identification. The method is robust in the presence of carrier offsets. For QPSK, 2FSK, 16QAM and 2ASK, the algorithm is simulated under several received conditions. Simulation results show the validity of the proposed method for jamming signals with different envelopes.
