Abstract

Auxiliary particle filter (APF) algorithm for blind adaptive multi-user detection (MUD) is introduced in this paper and simulation background is in synchronous code division multiple access (CDMA) system over fading channels. Because of the performance of APF in parameter estimation is prior to general particle filter (PF), APF algorithm is a very popular alternative to PF algorithm. Simulation results show that the performance of APF-based blind multi-user detector outperforms general PF-based one. On the condition of strong interference and number of users increasing the APF algorithm always produce better detection results.
