Abstract

The article considers the possibilities and limitations of blended learning technology for part-time students' self-study arrangement in the intersessional period. The authors present a model of foreign language teaching at the extra-mural department of the linguistic higher education institution developed on the basis of the collected statistical data analysis and the existing theoretical approaches to the structure of distance learning. The proposed model allows bridging the gap between the amount of expected self-study and the level of autonomous learning skills of students, their need for permanent feedback and amount of time provided for the teacher.
