Abstract

During an in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle it is routine to select embryos for transfer based on morphological indices. Detailed embryo morphology based grading systems have been established and are a critical component to the success of infertility treatment. With the utilization of comprehensive chromosome screening techniques it is now possible to correlate embryo morphology with chromosome numeration. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between blastocyst grading, chromosome constitution and embryo selection.
