Abstract
Discussion of air blast and ground shock free field phenomena associated with nuclear burst, in order to aid engineers in design of blast resistant structures; calculation of surface burst pressure, transient pressure, ambient atmospheric pressure, and dynamic pressure; distance of peak pressure is proportional to cube root of weapon yield; air blast phenomena can be observed to accuracy of plus or minus 25%.
