Abstract
Small cell carcinoma of the bladder is a rare cancer characterized by an aggressive clinical behavior and a high potential for metastatic spread. Radical cystectomy with or without chemotherapy has been the most commonly recommended treatment for patients with limited-stage disease. Bladder preservation therapy is another promising option for many patients. We analyzed the outcomes of patients with small cell carcinoma of the bladder treated with radiation therapy with the goal of bladder preservation.
