Abstract
As social work moves into the 1990s the profession is finally beginning to reap some of the seeds sewn in the affirmative action programs of the 1960s and 70s. An increasing number of seasoned Black clinical social workers have successfully honed their practice skills in human service agencies and are venturing into the realm of private clinical practice. This paper explores those particular dilemmas Black private practitioners must face which differ substantially from their majority counterparts.
