Abstract

The relationship between Blacks and Jews in the USA deteriorated in 1984. To understand why this happened and what needs to be done to improve relations, Dr Cohen interviewed sixteen members of the Congressional Black Caucus of the 98th Congress. Deep disappointment with the US Jewish community was conveyed but this was tempered by the knowledge that the old alliance between Blacks and Jews still endures.
