AbstractElectricity (MIC: SIC: 4911 NAIC: 221121)Black Hills is an energy company operating in two business groups: utilities, and non‐regulated energy. Co.'s utilities group consists of the Electric Utility segment, operating via its Black Hills Power (BHP) subsidiary; and Combination Electric and Gas Utility segment, which operates via its Cheyenne Light (CL) subsidiary. BHP generates, transmits and distributes electricity in South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana, while CL distributes electric and natural gas service in the Cheyenne, WY vicinity. Co. operates its non‐regulated energy group via its Black Hills Energy subsidiary, which conducts its business through the oil and gas, power generation, coal mining, and energy marketing segments.
