Abstract

A scheme for the router aggregation of bitmapped Negative AcKnowledgement (NAK) feedback packets in reliable multicast is presented. The scheme greatly improves the scalability of reliable multicast sessions. A brief probabilistically analysis of the performance of the scheme is provided, and its capacity to reduce feedback loads on shared links is simulated.
