Abstract

Direct-sequence spread-spectrum multiple access (DS/SSMA) is considered in a microcellular mobile radio system with coherent phase shift keying (CPSK). The radio channel in the microcellular environment is modeled as a shadowed Rician fading channel. The bit error probability is derived, taking into account cochannel interference. The influence of selection diversity and FEC block codes on the performance is studied. >
