Abstract

This paper describes the phenomenon of Bistable Electron Magnetic Resonance, which manifests itself by a resonance line with a distorted shark fin-like shape. This effect requires only a fluctuating hyperfine interaction between electron spins and nuclear spins. It is demonstrated for shallow donors in semiconductors and conduction electrons in light metals. Bistability is an intrinsic property of electron magnetic resonance when the shift of the resonance by the nuclear polarization is larger than the EPR linewidth. To cite this article: D.
