Abstract

Under the same rf deposition and post annealing conditions, BiSrCaCuO (BSCCO) thin films on LaGaO 3 show better superconducting properties than BSCCO films on SrTiO 3 with T c 2–3K higher and J c an order of magnitude higher at the same temperature. Besides, due to its well textured structure, the films on LaGaO 3 show good 2D behavior. The Kosterlitz-Thouless transition point T KT is about 2K lower than Ginzburg-Landau superconducting transition point T co.
