Abstract
TO THE EDITOR: We read with great interest the article in the September issue of this Journal reporting on the efficacy of bispectral index (BIS) monitoring as an adjunct to nurse-administered propofol sedation (NAPS) for colonoscopy (1). Drake et al. conclude that BIS has no clinically important role during NAPS.
