Abstract

Room temperature (RT) gas sensors have been widely studied because of their low power consumption and easy integration. The low response value and long response/recovery time of gas-sensitive materials have hindered the development of RT gas sensors. In this paper, Bi-doped SnS2 nanoflowers with high surface area were tailored by a novel hydrothermal method. A fast response/recovery speed of 52/100 s and high response (5.58) were obtained from 3 % Bi doped SnS2 nanoflower for 1 ppm NO2. This work provides a strategy to fabricate RT gas sensors based on layered metal sulfide.
