Abstract

A simple procedure for a high yield preparation of CF 2(SF 3) 2 (1) from CS 2 and elemental fluorine is described. In the presence of CsF 1 is further oxidised by F 2 and C1F to give F 2C(SF 5) 2 (4) and (trans - C1SF 4) 2CF 2 (5), respectively.
