Abstract
The crystal structure of the title complex, [PtCl(C36H37P3)]ClO4, at 145 K contains the trimethylene-bridged triphosphine chelate ligand Ph2P(CH2)3PPh(CH2)3PPh2 coordinated in a tridentate manner to the PtII atom. The coordination geometry about Pt is distorted from square planar as a consequence of the geometrical constraints of the chelating ligand.
