Abstract

The problem of incest taboo(s) is one of the hardest and oldest riddles of anthropology. The aim of this paper is not some kind of ultimate explanation of the taboo, but demonstration that intellectual cooperation between natural and social sciences is necessary for better understanding of the problem. The author presents biosocial theories of incest taboo(s) because they are the most satisfying yet.
