Abstract

Among the biophysical parameters of linseed bud structures (i.e. length and width of bud) were observed to be positively and significantly correlated with bud fly infestation with (r) values of 0.562 and 0.544, respectively. Germplasm with minimum days to 50% flowering period showed bud fly escape phenomenon. Days to 50% flowering was highly significantly positively correlated with infestation with (r) value of 0.832. Flower characters i.e colour and aestivation of germplasm did not play any role on infestation while, umbrella shaped flowers had impact on bud fly incidence since it has less length of bud.
