Abstract

Chilli thrips are important pests of roses and other ornamental plants and cause feeding damage resulting in characteristic leaf and bud scarring, discoloration, and deformation. The objective of this test was to compare efficacy of several biopesticides to that of a commercial standard, Conserve (spinosad) on container-grown Knock Out roses (pink doubles). The test was conducted at the University of Florida Mid Florida Research and Education Center in Apopka, Florida from Jul to Sep 2014.
