Abstract

As a new field of research, the flapping wing micro air vehicle has a widely application in civil and defense. This paper analyzes the specific state of the flapping wing in flight, and determines the variation range of the flapping angle and the angle of attack. Then we design a simple double crank and double rocker mechanism, in addition we propose a passive rotation mechanism to meet the requirement of micro flapping wing mechanism. Compared to previous flapping wing structures, the mechanism is technically more simple and practical, which is benefit to minimize the flapping wing micro air vehicle. We design the specific structure of Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) and calculate the dimension of the mechanism. Finally, we use the Solidworks to model it and prove the feasibility and accuracy of this flapping wing structure.
