Abstract
The 1-hydroperoxy-eudesmanolides 9,10,21 and 22 were prepared, then converted to 1,10-sec-eudesmanolides via hydroperoxide transposition and/or homolytic fragmentation.The possible biogenetic significance of these processes is discussed.
