Abstract
Abstract Epoxygermacrene-D was treated with basic alumina to afford a new type of sesquiterpene, whose stereostructure was determined on the basis of its spectral data coupled with an X-ray crystallographic analysis of the corresponding ketone produced on CrO3 oxidation.
