Abstract

An overview of the development and current state of biomedical library and information service provision in Great Britain is given. Emphasis is laid on the role of National Health Service (NHS) Regional Library Systems in England and Wales and current trends in the Wessex Regional Library and Information Service (WRLIS) are described.
