Abstract

An ultra-flexible and stretchable biomechanical energy harvester is developed by Zi Chen, Marc D. Feldman, John X. J. Zhang and co-workers as described in article number 2100094. The ZnO nanorod array is sandwiched by a layer of electrode (carbon nanotube) and biocompatible polymer PDMS. Piezoelectricity of ZnO will generate electricity across the two electrodes in response to mechanical deformation.
