Abstract

Biomass and accumulated pan evaporation/growing degree-days relationships for mung ( Vigna radiata L. Wilczek), based on weekly plant biomass production under field conditions, are presented through correlations and regressions. Irrigations and wheat straw mulch were incorporated as treatments. A linear relationship was observed between biomass production and evaporation beyond a threshold value of 126 mm, and with accumulated temperatures beyond a threshold of 550 degree-days.
