Abstract

Rice is one of the most cultivated cereal in the world. In 2013 were planted about 2.348.946 hectares, with a world production of 11.758.663 tons. In Brazil, the South stands out for having the largest acreage, about 1.266.058 hectares, followed by the Northeast (549.084 hectares), North (278.668 hectares), Midwest (216.563 hectares) and Southeast (38.573 hectares). However their production may be limited by various pathogenic agents, such as root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.). The objective of this study was to observed the qualitative reduction of Meloidogyne spp this pathogen in rainfed rice with organic products. The experiment was conducted on a property in the village of Marazion-SC, with hybrid rice cultivar Rice Tec - Inov CL, a forty hectares. The total area was divided into four parts: two as witnesses (one with addition of rooting and one with no added seed treatment) and two with biological control, changing only the dosage of the products. Sowing seed per hectare was 50kg and all areas received fertilization with NPK 5:20:30 in dosage 250kg.ha -1 . It was evaluated in three distinct periods. We found that the treatments made with organic products showed significant results when compared to the controls, especially when used in larger doses, noting positive effects on shoot and root in the region. Analyzed the data showed the feasibility of biological control as an alternative to Meloidogyne spp control in rainfed rice.
