Abstract

L.) is one of the importanteconomically crops, which belongs to family Astraceac. Marigoldrepresents one of the most important and economic ornamentalcrops in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The economic importance ofthis crop appears in both local consumption and exportationpurposes. Cultivated area of marigold in 2005 growing seasonreached about 550 Fadden in open fields, which yielded 9397 tonflowers. Several disease attacked marigold plants in all growingstages as powdery mildew. The Present work was designed to solvea part of this dilemma and control this disease by non-chemicalmethods.The present investigation aimed at studying the effect of biocontrol agents in controlling marigold powdery mildew.Different microorganisms were isolated from phylloplane ofhealthy marigold plant and used as antagonists against differentpathogens.
