Abstract
The decision to build pumped storage projects must be made with the knowledge that there will be changes in the environment. Many of the biological considerations of pumped storage are quite similar to those of the more conventional types of reservoir development and operations. There are special considerations which deserve the attention of workers in fisheries and related aquatic sciences. (RRB)
