Abstract

On the basis of long-term observations, data on the state of the population of trout Salmo trutta from some lakes and water courses of Kola Peninsula exposed to different degree of anthropogenic load are provided. Trout is the most widespread species in the ichthyofauna of the peninsula. At the same time, its numbers in most lakes and rivers are rather low, and data on the biology of this species have a fragmentary pattern. A high degree of adaptation of trout allows its populations to be retained until now even under conditions of an intensive anthropogenic load.
