Abstract

In article number 1900130, Hideaki Yamamoto and co-workers describe a novel multielectrode (MEA) array device with a biomimetic, ultrasoft interface. Here, inkjet printing is used to fabricate 3D MEA structures, which are then passivated with a polydimethylsiloxane gel. Primary cortical neurons are grown on the device, and effective stimulation of the culture confirms functional cell-device coupling.
