Abstract

Cellulose and lignin contents in left-overs of rice stump decreased due to decay caused by soil mycoflora. The loss of cellulose and lignin was considerable in presence of Curvularia and Fusarium respectively. Other tested mycoflora could also destroy cellulose and lignin to some extent. The amount of loss of cellulose and lignin increased with time of incubation of the tested mycoflora.
