Abstract

It is shown that cross-linked dextrans can be the basis for obtaining a drug reservoir which is a physiologically active polymer with the drug grafted to the matrix by chemical links. A drug form for treatment of tuberculosis has been obtained. The kinetics of drug release into model media and blood plasma has been investigated. It is found that polymeric derivatives of isonyazide and kanamycin can be applied for the development of drug reservoirs with lower rate of release over a long period of time.
