Abstract

Indoor simulative degradation experiments were carried out to investigate the biodegradation kinetics of ciprofloxacin in soil and identify the ciprofloxacin-degrading fungi. The results indicated that the microbial degradation rate constant of ciprofloxacin in soil was 0.039d−1. Four ciprofloxacin-degrading fungi were preliminary identified as Penicillium notatum, Aspergillus fumigatus, Penicillium frequentans and Penicillium expansum.
