Abstract

Objective To investigate the biocompatibility of 4 materials including recombinant spider silk protein as scaffold in rats.Methods Surgery was performed on rats proceeded according to Chinese Guidelines(GB/T 16886.6-1997)about biological evaluation of medical devices.Four materials were evaluated by histological analysis and body observation.Results The better biocompatibility of 4 materials in order:pNSR16,pNS2,PVA,pNSR-Z.Both pNSR16 and pNS2 showed the better biocompatibility.Conclusion The recombinant spider silk protein has excellent biocompatibility,whose prospect of application will be good.
