Abstract
The concentrations of PCB congeners in samples of macroalgae from three areas in Thermaikos Gulf with different contamination levels during a whole year have been determined. These pollutants were found to depend on a number of factors including the species of algae, the sample location, the seasonal variation and the physical condition of fronds.
